Specific projects or tasks
Team dynamics and communication
Recent changes or initiatives
Training and development needs
Templates
To help you get started quickly, TeamMood provides a library of pre-built poll templates. These templates cover a range of common topics, such as project feedback, team communication, and changes within the team.
You can use these templates as-is, or customize them to fit your specific needs. Exploring the templates is a great way to discover new ideas for polls and ensure you're asking the right questions to get the most valuable insights.
How to Create Polls
ℹ️ Only TeamMood admins can create Polls.
From the template library
Head to the template library at https://app.teammood.com/app#/setup/question-templates
and choose a template.
You can customise the template.
From scratch
From your posted questions list at https://app.teammood.com/app#/setup/questions

From in-app nudges
TeamMood uses helpful nudges to remind you of opportunities to gather valuable feedback from your team.
These nudges appear periodically and suggest relevant topics for polls, such as recent team changes, project milestones, or upcoming events etc. By paying attention to these nudges, you can:
Gather timely feedback: Ensure your check-ins are focused on the most relevant and current topics.
Discover new question ideas: Get inspiration for questions you might not have thought of.
Improve team communication: Encourage open dialogue and create a culture of feedback.
Proactively address potential issues: Identify and address emerging challenges quickly.
These nudges are designed to make it easier for you to get the most out of TeamMood's poll feature. Keep an eye out for them and use them to gather valuable insights into your team's well-being and performance.
Starting from a nudge, you'll enter the poll editor.
After choosing a template, and customising the question, you'll have to:
Select Target Teams: Choose the specific team(s) you want to include in this custom question check-in. This allows you to target your polls to the most relevant groups.
Schedule the Poll: Select the date and time you want the question to be sent to your team(s). You can schedule it immediately or for a future date.
ℹ️ Notifications are sent to people who have not responded after a period of time.
How to Use Polls in Check-ins
Once you've created your polls, they will be automatically included in your team's regular mood check-ins. Team members will answer these questions along with their mood rating, results will be visible by team after the period you defined, and everyone will be able to react or discuss about the results.
Viewing Responses to Polls
You can view the responses to your polls in the Timeline section of your TeamMood account. You can analyze the data to identify trends and insights, and have fruitful discussions during your next team meeting.
Tips for Writing Effective Polls
Be specific: Avoid vague or open-ended questions. The more specific your question, the more useful the responses will be.
Keep it concise: Shorter questions are easier for team members to answer quickly and accurately.
Focus on one topic per question: Avoid combining multiple questions into one.
Use neutral language: Avoid leading questions or questions that suggest a particular answer.
Consider the poll type: Choose the poll type (e.g., multiple choice, rating scale) that best suits your needs.
Examples of Polls
"How confident are you in meeting the upcoming deadline for Project X?" (Rating scale)
"What is your biggest challenge with the new project management tool?" (Multiple choice: Lack of training/Unclear Benefits/Too Complex/None)
"Do you feel you have adequate resources to complete your work effectively?" (Multiple choice: Yes/No/Unsure)
"How would you rate the team's communication on this project?" (Rating scale)
