At TeamMood, we're committed to helping teams thrive through effective feedback. The Taskbook is a key part of TeamMood's feedback loop, a process that helps ensure feedback leads to tangible outcomes.

This page guides you through how Taskbook works and how to use it effectively.

What is the Taskbook?

The Taskbook is a dedicated section within TeamMood that helps managers to:

  • Centralize feedback: Easily access all team feedback in one dedicated space.

  • Engage with feedback: Go beyond simply reading feedback and start meaningful conversations.

  • Drive action: Turn feedback into concrete steps for improvement and track their progress.

  • Ensure accountability: Make managers accountable for addressing team feedback and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

In essence, the Taskbook helps managers stay organized, responsive, and accountable in addressing team feedback.

Key Components

The Taskbook consists of the following key components:

  • Manager's Taskbook: A dedicated section within TeamMood where managers can view, manage and act upon feedback from their team.

  • Engagement Tools:

    • Start Discussions: Initiate public conversations with team members to clarify feedback and gather more context, fostering deeper understanding and trust..

    • Create a Poll: Offer to create a poll related to the topic raised by the feedback to efficiently gather data, identify trends, and involve the team in problem-solving.

    • Send Kudos: Acknowledge positive feedback and reinforce behaviors that contribute to a positive team environment.

  • Proactive Alerts: Automated reminders for managers to review and respond to feedback in a timely manner.

  • Reviewed Label: A visual indicator on the Timeline, visible to all users, that shows when a manager has reviewed a specific piece of feedback.

  • (Future Feature) Action Tracking: Tools to track the actions taken in response to feedback, communicate progress, and measure the impact of those actions.

How to Use the Taskbook

For Managers with the role "Team Manager" (see available roles on TeamMood):

  1. Accessing Your Taskbook: once you give your mood, you'll land on the Taskbook instead of the Timeline, and you can access the Taskbook from the menu.

  2. Reviewing Feedback: each Timeline item (mood comment, Kudos, pool results etc.) are shown on the Taskbook and the manager can take action.

  3. Engaging with Team Members:

    • Starting a Discussion: engage or participate to the public discussion about the topic.

    • Creating a Poll: you can directly create a Poll, related to the feedback in order to dig deeper into the issue.

    • Sending Kudos: If you see a positive comment, send your thanks to individuals as a public praise.

    • Archive the item: your last action must be to mark the item as Reviewed to make it disappear from your Taskbook.

  4. History log: several managers can act upon a piece of feedback, an history tracks who did what.

  5. Using the Reviewed Label: each reviewed Timeline item will have a visible review label so that your people will know that someone as taken into account their feedback to that they'll feel listened to.

Best Practices for Effective Taskbook Usage

  • Regularly review feedback: Managers should check their Taskbook frequently to stay on top of team sentiment.

  • Respond promptly: Timely responses to feedback show team members that their voices are heard and valued.

  • Be specific and actionable: When providing feedback, team members should provide specific examples and suggestions for improvement. Managers should focus on actionable steps in their responses.

  • Foster a culture of open communication: Encourage open and honest dialogue between managers and team members.

  • Close the loop: Always communicate back to the team about the actions taken in response to feedback.
