What is the Backlog?
The Backlog is where the "real work" of management happens. Everything you Keep during Triage lands here. It’s your strategic to-do list, ensuring that important suggestions or recurring issues never fall through the cracks.
Managing the Workflow
Each item in your Backlog has a status to help you track progress:
To Review: New items waiting for your attention.
In Progress: Feedback you are currently investigating or discussing.
Resolved: The loop is closed! You’ve taken action or provided a final response to the team.
Collaborating Privately (Manager Chat)
Sometimes, you need to align with other leaders before responding to the team. Inside each Backlog item, you’ll find the Internal Activity section. Here, you can mention a colleague (@name) to start a private discussion.
Important: This chat is 100% private. Your team cannot see these messages; they are exclusively for manager coordination.
Taking Action
When you are ready to move from reflection to action, the Backlog provides three powerful tools:
Reply: Send a thoughtful, official response to the team.
Send a Kudos: Publicly celebrate a win or a great suggestion.
Create a Poll: If you need more data, launch a specific poll based on the feedback to dig deeper.
Best Practice
Use the Backlog during your weekly management meetings. It serves as a perfect agenda for discussing team culture and deciding on concrete improvements.
